Last year the Air Navigation Order 2016 & Regulations completely overhauled existing laws regarding UAVs (Unmanned Air Vehicles) - more commonly known as Drones - and any previous NEQ qualifications became invalid.
The regulations also were changed in Qatar and for these reasons we sent our UAV operator on a CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) approved training course at the UAV Academy, located at Cotswold Airport, UK.
We are pleased to say that he passed the Ground School examination and the practical test and is now a CAA authorised Certified Commercial Drone Pilot.
Along with this we now have a fully updated and comprehensive company Flight Operations Manual. This has been sent to the CAA for approval for PfCO (Permission for Commercial Operations), which should be granted in the next few weeks.
We were also recently granted commercial operating permissions in the State of Qatar, currently our busiest area of operations.
